Martin Burgess
Accredited member of the Association of Consultants in Access (ACA)
Martin is an accredited member of the Association of Consultants in Access (ACA) and on the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC) in the UK. Until recently he was a member of their Advisory Panel and interviews candidates seeking membership. He is also a member of the UK’s Access Association. His work has included sitting on committees in the UK and Australia including work on the ME64 Committee for Australian Standards and British Standards most recently looking at accessibility requirements associated with publicly accessible Electric Vehicle Charging as well giving evidence and contributed to the Women and Equalities Committee of the UK Government.
Martin presented two papers to the 2017 ACA International Conference and more recently the ACA’s update on Accessible Housing in September 2022.
Martin is an independent Access Consultant as well as working part time for the international consultancy company – Buro Happold. Current projects include the complete redevelopment of Olympia in London, Everton Football Club’s new stadium in Liverpool and alterations to Tottenham Hotspur’s Football Ground in London.
